Chez Thomson is a restored 1747 farmhouse offering restful rooms in quiet surroundings. Located near to the N145 midway between Gueret and Boussac in a wonderful tranquil setting. Spacious guest rooms and plentiful breakfasts are yours to enjoy whether you are staying for a few days break or a revitalising overnight stop. You too can enjoy this wonderful tranquil setting whilst staying in restful rooms in our 18th century home with a multitude of original features such as granite walls, beamed ceilings and log fires. We offer bed and breakfast accommodation in spacious guest rooms with private facilities. Guests can make use of their own lounge area with Satellite TV, have a wander around the nearby lakes or enjoy a peaceful rest in our garden under the pergola. Our guest facilities are quietly located at one end of our restored farmhouse. It comprises one double room with en-suite shower and one twin bedded mezzanine room, which incorporates the TV lounge. The private guest bathroom is shared by both rooms. Our accommodation is suitable for singles, couples and families (Travel cot available). Breakfast is served either in our large farmhouse kitchen or, weather permitting, outside under the pergola. Take your pick from a wide variety of cereals, juice, homemade breads and preserves, tea and coffee. Our garden extends to two acres and guests are welcome to sit and relax or join us for aperitif'S. You can take a stroll around the four local fishing lakes or along the many quiet lanes that surround the hamlet. The area around us boasts unspoilt, picturesque and dramatic landscapes with breathtaking views celebrated by artists such as Monet and Renoir. This region is often referred to as the ,8216,Lake District' of France attracting holidaymakers who come to enjoy the water sports and excellent fishing as well as rambling, cycling and sightseeing. There are lots of interesting places to visit all within easy reach of our Chambre d'hôte.
